We have dug up some of the Jet University sales materials, sales e-mails, contracts, etc.  We are going to scan these items and start posting them so that you can see them all in one place.  If you have some material you want to share, please do send it to:  jetustudent@gmail.com

If you think back to why you decided to go to Jet University in the first place, rather than another flight training school, it was because of the Job Guarantee.  No other school offered the Job Guarantee.

This is the Initial Sales Letter that was sent out from the "pilot recruiting department" at Jet University.  The interesting parts are highlighted.  This has the famous (and illegal--see regulation page)  JOB GUARANTEE and also the OFF CAMPUS 24 hours of CRJ200 simulator training (including transporation to and from the facility as well as hotels) This was in addition to the 78 hours of CRJ flight training at Jet U that they promised.  (This totaled 102 hours)  As far as we know no student ever received the 102 hours that was promised in the sales letters. 

The JOB GUARANTEE is mentioned in this e-mail three times. 

Pay attention to the phrase, "We have to find employment for you, no matter what."

This is the Sim Center contract that was sent out to the students to fill out so that the bank loans could be obtained through the Sim Center since Jet University could not qualify for the Wachovia financing. 

The way it worked was the students were told to "act" like they were going to the SIM CENTER.  If you look at the last sales sheet below it says, "School code:  Request assistance from the Jet University financial aid administrator".  This is where the fraud began and Jet University didn't want the prospective students to know there was something shady going on with the loans. The financial aid administrator is Barbara Botti.  Barbara would tell the students how to fill out the form so that Wachovia would be fooled.  (SEE BANK FRAUD SECTION)  Wachovia would then think this was a legitimate SIM CENTER student and they would issue the check for the loan proceeds to the SIM CENTER.  (By the way, Wachovia has since revoked SIM CENTER'S approved staus.)

SIM Center would then be paid a "front mans fee" (reported to be $1250 per student) by Jet University as payment for "fronting" the loan. 

Wachovia had no idea (until December 2008) that the students were not attending the SIM CENTER.  Wachovia would never have approved the loans if they knew the students were not actually going to the SIM CENTER. 

As far as we know, only one Jet University student ever set foot in the SIM CENTER and that was to try to get a refund.  He did not get his refund.

These were the sales sheets sent to prospective students of Jet University.  The last sales sheet is interesting. 

It tells you to call the financial aid administrator to request a code. "School code:  Request assistance from the Jet University financial aid administrator".  The code that Barbara Botti would give the prospective student was for the SIM CENTER since Jet University could not qualify to receive student loans.  Wachovia was then fooled into believing the student was going to attend the SIM CENTER.

You will also notice that Jet University advertises that students could use their VA Benefits to pay for their training at Jet University.  This was simply not true and Jet University never qualified for VA benefits. 

One student, Dave Marcum (on the home page of JetUniversitysucks.com and the official poster boy for the Jet University video was strung along for 8 months waiting for his VA benefits to kick in and pay off his Wachovia loan.  The VA benefits never came and Dave left Jet University after spending $40,000 and receiving just his private pilots license.  What a way to treat a veteran.
